The case
The lawsuits contend that the world's dominant fragrance and flavor manufacturers coordinated pricing strategies and artificially inflated the price of fragrance products sold to U.S. purchasers — from fine fragrance compounds to scents used in consumer products.
International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) has agreed to a $26 million settlement. Litigation against Givaudan, DSM-Firmenich, Symrise, and related entities remains pending, so additional recoveries are possible.
