Frequently asked questions.

Everything businesses ask before working with us — fees, eligibility, timelines, and what we actually do.

What does VMC Group charge?

Nothing upfront — ever. Our fee is an agreed percentage of the funds you actually recover, paid only when you're paid. If your claim recovers nothing, you owe nothing.

Is VMC Group a law firm?

No. VMC Group, LLC is a claims filing service. We are not a law firm and don't provide legal advice, and we are not the court-appointed claims administrator in any case. The settlements we file into have already been negotiated by class counsel; our job is making sure your business's claim is filed correctly, completely, and on time.

Can't I just file the claim myself for free?

Yes — class members can always file directly with the claims administrator at no cost, and we say so plainly. Businesses hire us because claim value depends on documented purchase volume, deadlines are unforgiving, and administrators issue deficiency notices that quietly kill unmonitored claims. We handle all of that, and we only get paid if you recover.

How do I know if my business qualifies for a settlement?

Each settlement has a class definition: what was purchased, from whom, and during what period. Our free eligibility review checks your business against every open settlement at once — most reviews take a single call.

What information do you need from me?

Typically your business's legal name and Tax ID, plus purchase or transaction records for the relevant period. If records are incomplete, our analysts can often reconstruct eligible volume from partial data, supplier statements, or the administrator's own records.

How long does it take to get paid?

It varies by case. After the filing deadline, administrators verify claims, resolve deficiencies, and obtain court approval before distributing funds — often 12 to 24 months, sometimes longer for very large classes. We track your claim and send status updates the whole way.

Is my data safe with VMC Group?

Yes. Client data is used solely to prepare and support your claims, transmitted through our secure upload portal, and never sold or shared beyond what the claims administrator requires.

My business closed or was sold. Can I still file?

Often, yes. Claims belong to the entity that made the qualifying purchases — former owners of closed or sold businesses frequently hold valid claims. We'll determine who has standing as part of the free review.

Have a question about a specific settlement? Each case page has its own FAQ, or ask us directly — we answer plainly, including when the answer is "you don't have a claim."
